Meet Roxanne Cullis

This month we are featuring local women entrepreneurs that are making their mark in the business world. This week it is our great delight to feature the lovely Roxanne Cullis. Here is what Roxanne had to tell us.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business?

Young, motivated & determined I live by John D Rockefellers “Don’t be afraid to give up the
good to go for the great.” My personal philosophy is to do things to the best of my ability, give
my 100% energy to everything I do to achieve success. My passion is business &

My passion is business &entrepreneurship, how they work & what it takes to run a successful businesses. I am alsovery passionate about design, digital marketing, animals, my family, friends & of course my two cats – Nellie & Nelson.

Precious Prints offer customised branded clothing for just about everybody. We offer a range of
baby grows, kiddies t-shirts, adult t-shirts for all occasions such as Bachelorettes parties,
pregnancy announcements, Fathers Day to mention a few.

We also offer the opportunity for customers to make baby grows & t-shirts of their own which
mean something to them.

We now do modern day wedding guest books in the form of block mounted canvases. These
are not limited to weddings only & can also be used as a guest book for a 21st, 50th or even a
baby shower!

What inspired you to start your business?

When I became a God Mother to my God child I struggled to find baby clothing that I liked &
that spoke a personal message. It was then that I decided to create something customised for her.
I had a lot of interest in what I had made & many people encouraged me to make this service
available to others. I think this is what really pushed me into starting this business.

What do you think are the biggest challenges and also the biggest joys to owning a
small business?

For me, challenges would include, time management as I am the sales person, accountant &
marketer etc and I need to find the time to get to each aspect of my business.

Another challenge would be working in the business rather than working on the business.
There is no greater satisfaction that seeing something you have created from a simple idea on
paper bloom into something wonderful!

What advice would you give to anyone who is wanting to start their own business?

Most importantly, do your market research and do what you love and what inspires you.

Thank you Roxanne, for taking the time to answers our questions, may Precious Prints continue to grow successfully. We hope Roxanne has inspired you to chase your dreams and follow your passions as she has done.

Please give Precious Prints a follow on the both Facebook and Instagram and pay their website a visit to see what they are all about.
